The Society welcomes applications from anyone with an interest in agriculture and rural life in Northern Ireland. Our charitable objectives remain the same as they have always been, and your membership contributes towards supporting and promoting the local agricultural industry.

Yes, we have special discounted membership rates for children under 12 years old (Junior) and those aged 12- 18 years old (Youth) as well as special membership prices for Young Farmers Club's of Ulster (YFCU) members. Click here to see the 2026 membership prices. 

As a member of the Society, you can enjoy a range of exclusive benefits to include:

-Four days' admission to Balmoral Show via priority entrances.
-Admission to the Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships and Royal Ulster Winter Fair via priority entrances.

Membership costs can vary depending on which option suits you best. With membership types ranging from Junior and Youth to Adult, Family and Corporate, there's an option to suit everyone. For more information on the 2026 prices please click here.

To join the Society throughout the year simply complete the application form and send it to membership@ruas.org.uk. The Society's Council will review your application at one of their regular meetings and you will hear from our membership team on the status of your application shortly afterwards.

By choosing to pay by Direct Debit your membership fee will be cheaper and will automatically renew each year. 

To pay your membership fee by Direct Debit please complete our Direct Debit form found here and email it to our Membership Team at membership@ruas.org.uk

RUAS membership runs from 1 January until 31 December annually.

If you pay by Direct Debit, then your membership will automatically renew each year. If you pay by cheque, our membership team will send you a reminder email in January with details of what steps you need to take.

This year, new membership cards containing photographs were distributed before the 2026 Balmoral Show.

To gain free entry to any of the three RUAS Shows, members MUST present one of the new membership cards to be scanned at the gate

If you have not provided a photograph to the RUAS Membership Team or when completing your stewarding form, you must do so as soon as possible to secure your new card and receive free entry to any of the RUAS Shows.
