Meet the Member

The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society is made up of passionate growers, producers, and equine and agricultural enthusiasts, all united in their support for rural life in Northern Ireland. To help you connect with more friendly faces from across the Society, we've refreshed a popular Balmoral News feature and are proud to introduce the new Meet the Member.

This month, we're delighted to introduce you to RUAS Council member and current YFCU President, Richard Beattie from Ballymoney. Richard joined the Society thanks to the close relationship between the Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster and the RUAS.

Since being added to Council, he's seen the promising future for many in the local agricultural industry through the support of the Society's charitable events, including the Balmoral Show. Here's Richard's story.
