Presidential Perspectives
From challenges to triumphs and growth to innovation, the RUAS has evolved over the years thanks to it's dedicated leaders and knowledgeable members. In this mini video series we're getting to know more about our past presidents, how the Society has grown over recent years and still continues to support our local agri-food industry.
Billy Robson OBE was RUAS President from 2015 to 2017 and saw ‘many pieces of the jigsaw being put together’ as the Society continued to make the Eikon Exhibition Centre feel more like home.
With the Eikon structure being moved from Belfast to Lisburn and the Brexit referendum in the mix, there wasn’t a dull moment for the Society during his tenure.
In this interview Billy recalls some of the Society’s achievements and the outside influences that effected the local agri economy at that time. Here's Billy's story.
