Each year the RUAS hosts three large events for anyone with an interest in agriculture and rural life; the Balmoral Show, the Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships and the Royal Ulster Winter Fair.
As part of our charitable objectives we also fund educational opportunities for agriculture students and travel opportunities for young RUAS members to help them learn about agricultural practices across the world.
We pride ourselves on recognising and rewarding excellence amongst our volunteers and exhibitors through initiatives such as the President's Award and Long Service Awards.
Yes, the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) is a registered charity in Northern Ireland (NIC101946).
Since it’s formation in 1854, the Society’s charitable aims and objectives have been to improve the quality of agricultural enterprises across Northern Ireland by sharing best practice through it's agricultural shows and exhibitions.
The Society also aims to support the promotion of Industries, Art, Science and Literature where possible.
