Stewarding Roles at the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society
With such a wide variety of activities at each of our events, stewarding with the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society offers something for everyone.
Whether your interests lie in livestock, horticulture or equine competitions, there’s a Stewarding role to suit your skills and passions.

From Cattle Ring Stewards and Sheep Stewards, to Equine, Poultry, Sponsor Liaison and Horticulture Stewards, each role plays an essential part in ensuring the smooth running of our Shows and the best possible experience for competitors and visitors alike.
You might find yourself assisting exhibitors in the livestock lines, helping with judging in the show rings, supporting displays in the horticulture pavilion, or providing a warm welcome to visitors — no two days are ever the same.
Stewarding is about teamwork, enthusiasm, and pride in being part of events that celebrate the very best of Northern Ireland’s rural life and heritage. It’s a hands-on way to get involved, learn new skills, and contribute to the success of our flagship Shows, including the Balmoral Show, Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships and Royal Ulster Winter Fair.
