This week the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society’s Horticulture Committee were proud to present a cheque for £3,500 to Matthew Lee and Fiona Chamberlain on behalf of Horatio’s Garden Northern Ireland, Belfast.
The money was raised at this year's Balmoral Show through the generous support of visitors who purchased vegetable transplants and flowers, kindly donated by the Gabbie family of John Gabbie & Sons, with support from Gilfresh and Greenisland Flowers.
Horatio’s Garden improves the lives of people with life-changing spinal injuries by creating and expertly staffing beautiful gardens in NHS rehabilitation centres. Their transformative garden at Musgrave Park Hospital offers vital support to people from across Northern Ireland as they rebuild their lives after the devastation of a spinal injury, as well as people staying in the Amputee Rehabilitation Unit.
