170 Years of Heritage Goes Digital

11 June 2024

170 years of heritage goes digital
Today the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society launched its new website to help bring 170 years of heritage into a user friendly and accessible online platform.

This exciting milestone is part of a larger project which will involve the websites belonging to the Society’s portfolio of events and the Eikon Exhibition Centre.

Last summer, a review of the charity’s digital assets was carried out to assess how these websites were being used and how they could better connect to the RUAS and it’s charitable objectives.

Following this review, a plan was created to redevelop the Society’s existing suite of websites and develop a new one that would help bring the RUAS’s longstanding and prestigious history onto a virtual platform.

It is hoped that in doing so, the new websites will:

  • Allow users to easily access the information they need
  • Help raise awareness of the RUAS and it’s role in promoting agriculture in Northern Ireland
  • Create a simple and uniform approach to how visitors can use each website

The new Eikon Exhibition Centre website is now live with the revamped Beef & Lamb, Winter Fair and Balmoral Show sites due for completion by September 2024.

The existing websites may be unavailable for a short time as these important updates are made and we would like to thank all users for their patience. To keep up to date on all developments in this project, don’t forget to follow the RUAS on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
